Understanding Budget Distribution
Learn how AdBudgetBuddy distributes monthly budgets across days and channels.
AdBudgetBuddy offers smart budget distribution to help you pace your ad spend evenly throughout the month. This article explains the distribution methods available.
Distribution Methods
When creating a budget, you can choose from two distribution patterns:
1. Even Distribution
Splits your monthly budget equally across all days in the month. If you have a $30,000 monthly budget for a 30-day month, each day gets $1,000.
Even distribution works best for always-on campaigns or brands without weekday performance variations.
2. Weekday-Weighted Distribution
Allocates more budget to weekdays (Monday-Friday) and less to weekends. This reflects typical B2B conversion patterns where business users are more active during work hours.
Default weights:
- Monday-Friday: 1.2x weight (120% of baseline)
- Saturday-Sunday: 0.5x weight (50% of baseline)
Adjusting Allocations
After selecting a distribution method, you can manually adjust daily allocations. Changes are saved automatically and reflected in your pacing calculations.
If you edit daily allocations, the total must still equal your monthly budget. AdBudgetBuddy will warn you if allocations don't balance.
