Importing Data
Import budget allocations from a spreadsheet in minutes. The import wizard supports direct paste from Google Sheets or Excel, as well as CSV file uploads.
Open your budget spreadsheet in Google Sheets, Excel, or any CSV-compatible tool. Ensure your columns match the required format (see the column reference below).
In your AdBudgetBuddy dashboard, go to the sidebar and click Import. Select Budget as the import type.
Select all your data in the spreadsheet (including the header row) and copy it. Click the paste area in the import wizard and press Cmd+V (Mac) or Ctrl+V (Windows). Alternatively, upload a .csv file directly.
The import wizard auto-detects column names that match. For any unmatched columns, use the dropdown menus to map your spreadsheet headers to the correct fields. Required fields are marked with an asterisk.
Review the first 10 rows in the preview table. Check that the data looks correct, then click Import to load all rows into your account.

“Column count mismatch” warning
One or more rows have a different number of columns than the header. Check for missing commas, extra commas, or quoted values that contain the delimiter character.
“Required field not mapped” error
The Date column was not auto-detected. Ensure your header row is included in the paste and the column is labeled “Date” or “date”. Use the column mapping dropdowns to manually assign it.
Budget values not importing correctly
Remove any currency symbols ($, €, £), commas used as thousands separators, and percentage signs from numeric columns before importing.
